I’m really not sure where the time has gone. I realize I haven’t wrote in awhile, I promised a blog each month and for this I have failed. This years business tremendously picked up and I have had to focus my time on the for front of the business, meeting with clients, quoting jobs, designing and processing orders. Managing the day to day work load on top of enjoying a wee bit of time with the family has really pulled me away from posting on the blog. Not good, as I know it’s super duper important. 😉 There have been, however, loads of really exciting projects I have had the pleasure of working on this year and I will focus now on writing about them all. You’ll just love some of these wedding invitations, especially these modern family wedding invitations. Take a look!
This suite was designed for City Girl Weddings. Find them here:

They wanted modern family wedding invitations that were fun and used bright colors like aqua and orange. Incorporating a modern and kind of retro font really brought the whole color scheme and look together. The rest of the wedding invitation suite was really clean on white card stock. I popped in orange metallic colored envelopes with black font for a little twist. The other items that coordinated with the modern family wedding invitations included, wedding program fans which incorporated some jute twine around the fan handle, adding a touch of rustic”ness” to the program. Then, I also designed some dinner and drink menus that were relatively clean in design but still matched the whole look and feel we were trying to achieve. My favorite part has got to be those place cards. I just LOVE the playful and fun look of the little mini chalkboard place cards on the little mini easels. These matched the table numbers too, those were bigger chalkboards on a larger wooden easel. Check out these other photos of the whole stylized shoot at the Catalyst Ranch, Chicago. Thank you to Chris Ocken for the beautiful photos!
